Have great weekend!
It’s a little crazy in our household. We are having most of the rooms painted so it looks like a tornado came through. Tomorrow is “put everything away” day also known as “why in the heck did we paint” day. And to top it all off, I’m leaving for India for 3 weeks on Sunday. Haven’t packed, not even in the tiniest bit. With all the craziness, I...

Avatar!
Last night we were able to get tickets for Avatar in 3D Imax. Minus the cheesy dialogue, I really appreciated the themes about nature, war and colonization. And man,the 3D was spectacular. Everyone kept telling me but it really has to be experienced. If this is the future of film, does it mean we always have to wear glasses, for every movie? Not sure I like the idea of that. Here’s hubby and...

I can't believe it! We did it, an organized...
So yesterday we finally had the guts to tackle my husband’s closet. There were some grumblings at the start but I think hubby couldn’t be happier with the outcome. It’s so easy get bogged down by “stuff” and procrastinate on cleaning but once you do it, there’s no other feeling like it. It’s this weird serenity- and I know some might think it’s just...

Nate Berkus for HSN
Can you believe these Nate Berkus pieces for HSN?! The are so cheap! The pair of gold twig candlestick holder’s are $20! I hope they look as good in person as they do in the photos!

Wow Wedding Invitation
Oh my gosh! How great is this wedding invitation?!  They are for a wedding at The Parker Palm Springs, a Jonathan Adler designed hotel. The invitations are so unique and fitting for the vibe at the Parker. I’m always impressed by Orange Beautiful, their work and their blog. Be sure to check them out- their website is also so awesome!

For my office please!
Traditionally when I think office, I picture cubicles, Office Space, The Office- all which to me feel like places that kill creativity. That’s why I’ve always gravitated towards office’s that are UN-officey. So sometimes I see things, some practical, some not, that I just have to have because their beautiful. I spotted these at Anthropologie, I heart them.

Pegboard Organization
I just watched Julie and Julia, which I thought was a very cute and inspiring movie, especially because of my interest in blogging.  It also made me think about pegboard organizing. Julia Child’s kitchen has become somewhat iconic, she made the pegboard in the kitchen fashionable. But I’m not really sure how I feel about it. They seem to popping up everywhere, in offices, craft rooms,...

Bathroom Organizing
For some reason, bathrooms and closets are the hardest places for me to keep clean and organized. Maybe it’s because it’s always a mad dash to hide junk when people come over. Or because everything is hidden behind a magic door which I think no one can see. Every few months, I get the courage to clean them out, usually taking on way too much for one day and I’m left wondering why...

Marc by Marc Jacobs laptop case
I am going bananas over these! How cool are they?? I don’t have a laptop, but these stylish cases are making me wonder why I don’t?!  And there just $65 bucks, I die! I die! Available through Net-a-porter.

White Kitchen's...so nice.
Our whole house is getting painted and I’m craving white for all of it! After 3 years of peacock blue, apple green and chocolate brown I want something more soothing. In most of the rooms I just dialed it down- I picked colors that were a lighter than what we had. But for the kitchen I really wanted it to be white. I’ve always loved white kitchens, they can be made to fit any style. So...

The 70's are back!
I really love this chandelier in Kelly Wearstler’s home- it was also used by Nate Berkus. It’s so sculptural and edgy. It’s interesting that as much as design changes, lighting can be the same old, same old. How many crystal chandeliers have we seen? ( I counted and in my house I have 5!) So lately when I see lighting like this, I get excited. I gotta hit up some flea markets to...

Kelly Wearstler Tabletop
Everybody has an opinion on Kelly Wearstler and her design reinvention. Most of what I have heard is that people appreciate her style but think it’s a bit over the top. I do have to say, after reading her  newest book (Hue) and seeing more images of her work, she’s winning me over. Interior Design is a true art- an empty room the blank canvas. So I really respect her bold choices. No...

Have a Great Weekend!
I’m off to Mammoth for the weekend. We haven’t had this great snow in a few years so I am so excited to hit the slopes. It’s also the hubby’s birthday, so he’s pretty happy to be spending it up in the mountains. Our only wish- we could take our dog! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Charm and Chain
I just found Charm and Chain, an amazing online jewelry store. They really have a fun, unique collection- some that are investment pieces and some that are casual. My own jewelry collection has been mostly comprised of large, statement pieces (also heard gaudy used). I try and keep my wardrobe pretty monochromatic/simple so the jewelry and shoes can make more of a statement. It’s also so...

Gold Tissue pouches!
I am so into stuff like this! Gold tissue pouches. How gross is it when you have loose tissues in your purse (sometimes you cant tell which is clean or dirty!) or when the plastic on the store bought ones gets all crinkled and hard to open. Then Viola! Here is a handsome alternative. Now you’ll want people to notice you taking a tissue out of your bag. I love it! available online here. ...

Home Office
Right now I’m working on my home office and have been looking everywhere for ideas. But, I realize, as much as we look to others for inspiration, ultimately our office has to be a reflection of who we are. For me, it’s organized, chic, not too officey, and most of all inspiring.  So I hope that your office, whether it be a huge room or a little corner your able to clear for yourself,...

Zolden Interiors
I just stumbled upon the work of Tia Zolden, a Los Angeles Interior Designer. She was born and raised in LA and says her work is inspired by the sunny locale. Her choices of color and wallpaper are so bright and beautiful. Some samples of her work, enjoy!

The Neue Gallery in New York has the most amazing gift shop.  The Designer pieces are a bit out of my price range, but it’s kinda like window shopping- enjoy, love and day dream.. They even have dog apparel and collars:

The Tonight show with Conan.. no longer.
I am extremely disappointed with the NBC’s proposed plan for their late night line up- to shift Leno to 11:35pm, Conan to 12:05 and Jimmy Fallon at 1am. I think it’s a pathetic attempt to keep Leno, and why? It was his decision to leave late night in 2009 and his new show is bombing. I guess the NBC big wigs only gave Conan and Jimmy a weekend to decide to stay or leave. Here is...

Jayson Home and Garden
One of my favorite home stores is Jayson Home and Garden. They have such a unique, beautiful selection of home accessories. I cannot even tell you how badly I want the colored pencils with brass holder. So sculptural and a great statement piece for your desk. Here are a few of my favorites, and if your ever in the Chicago area be sure to check out their store. These are cheese...

Stella!
For those of you who may not know, the name of my blog was inspired by my dog, Stella. Sadly, I am one of those people obsessed with their pooch- weekends and trips now revolve around her. This past weekend was our 4th trip to the Huntington Dog Beach, her favorite place to visit. I thought I would post a picture of her so you all could see why me and my husband are so enamored with her. Now,...

Oh Joy! File Folders
I just bought these Oh Joy! file folders from Urbanic Paper Boutique in Venice Beach, a must see stationary store. The little shop is filled with great paper products, I mean I really can’t get enough of it. These file folders are so beautiful, feels as though you’re carrying around a piece of art- that stores files! And on my desk, it looks oh so fabulous.. I also bought some great...

Lonny Magazine
Ok, so I know everyone and their mom has blogged about the new Lonny Magazine, but in the off chance that one person hasn’t, I think it’s worth mentioning. After the depressing, seriously rip my heart out end to Domino, it felt like the magazine world would never be the same. I know, really over dramatic, right? But at the time that’s how it felt. It was the only shelter magazine...

Jonathan Adler pottery
(Sigh) Yes, my obsession with gold continues. These pottery pieces are from Jonathan Adler. They are handcrafted ceramics that are then dipped in a rich glaze of pure gold. Scrumptious..

Terrain at Home
The gods that brought us Anthropologie have a Garden store! Yes, it’s in Philadelphia and no I can’t fly there tomorrow with an extra suitcase to store all the wonderful goodies I’m sure I’d love… But there is good news- They have started an online shop! Similar to Anthro’s bohemian vibe, Terrain at Home sells a wide variety of unique container’s and...

Le Blog de Betty
I am obsessed with Betty! Her style is so daring and you wouldn’t believe that most of her clothes are affordable! She tells you in every post where she got her stuff. I can spend hours looking through her blog. These are some of my favorite outfits, but check out her blog, theres so much more! My heart yearns for that feather cape! And man do I wish I could sport those...

Redmond Aldrich Design
I am super impressed with Chloe Warner, not just for her designs at Redmond Aldrich but I just learned from her website she attended the architecture program at Harvard. She since has parlayed into Interior Design and her work speak volumes that it was the right decision. With her attention to scale, she’s able to mix patterns and textures so they blend seamlessly. Check out some of her...

Fliqlo Screensaver
I know screensavers may be a thing of the past, especially since most computers go into some sort of sleep mode. But I had to add this Fliqlo screensaver to my computer anyway. The flip clock design is clean, simple, retro and even a bit elegant. I just love it! You can get it here.
